The story of Cafémma

A change of generation – and Cafémma is born

Tom Johanson bought the place back in 1989. Back then it was simply called Grillbaren. When Winnie, Tom's daughter, joined the management, she renamed it Cafémma. The name refers to Winnie's firstborn daughter, Emma Marie.

The town turned out in force when the new name was presented, and a speech about the past, the present and the vision for the future brought a tear to more than one eye. Winnie is the director today and runs the place in a newer, more contemporary way:

“I still cherish the old and familiar … just with a little something new here and there.”
